Latin America stakeholders start manure management network

A core group of researchers, academics, and members of environmental ministries and NGOs from 13 Latin American countries will develop a Latin American network for manure management. This was decided during a three-day regional workshop on manure management in Latin America which took place at the Postgraduate College (COLPOS) in Texcoco, Mexico, from September 28 to 30. The network initiative is a follow-up of one of the main workshop conclusions that networks and platforms to build a learning community for the continuous innovation of human capital, need to be strengthened. The workshop was organized by the LMMC Regional Centre for Central and South America (CATIE), COLPOS, and the Mexican Secretariat of Agriculture, Livestock, Rural Development, Fisheries and Food (SAGARPA). A full workshop report will become available soon.
