Livestock Environmental Assessment and Performance Partnership (LEAP)
The LEAP Partnership is a multi-stakeholder initiative committed to improving the environmental performance of livestock supply chains, while considering both economic and social viability of the sector.
A wide range of environmental assessment methodologies have been developed, but there is a need for comparative and standardized indicators to support the dialogue towards actions for continuous improvement of livestock production chains.
Based on science-based methodology and an integrated perspective of livestock production chains, the LEAP Partnership aims to build global consensus on harmonized methods, guidance, and databases to assess the livestock sector’s environmental performance and progress towards sustainability.
